Will compressing reduce image quality?
Our tool uses smart compression techniques. At default quality settings, file sizes are reduced dramatically while visual differences remain invisible to the human eye.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No, all processing happens locally inside your browser, so your files remain strictly confidential and safe.
What's the difference between 80% and 100% quality?
At 100% quality, little to no compression is applied and the file stays close to its original size. At 80% (our recommended default), the file size drops significantly while the visual difference remains nearly impossible to notice. Below 60%, you may start to see slight blurring or artifacts on images with fine detail.
Can I compress multiple images at once?
Currently, you can compress one image at a time. Batch compression is on our roadmap.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no fixed limit enforced by the tool since everything runs in your browser rather than on a server. Very large files may simply take a little longer to process depending on your device.
Do I need to install any software?
No. ImgDomino runs entirely in your browser — there's nothing to download or install, and it works on both desktop and mobile.
